The gold room sure has been busy this fall.  We welcome Miss Yvonne to the Gold Room; she began in mid September.  She is a good addition to the Gold Room. She and the boys are adjusting to one another.

A.B. continues to excel at math.  He has been working with a calculator to make purchases using addition, subtraction and multiplication.  He really seems to enjoy money.  A.B. is also learning some multiplication facts as well as ordinal numbers. C.C. continues to make us all smile when we work with him.  He is very close to mastering one of his math goals.   Also, C.C. just started doing some vocational with Miss Lisa around the building.  He makes sure he is doing his best work by taking his time. R.F. is just blowing through his reading goal.  It seems like every week we are reading a new story.  He is also on the last benchmark of his vocational goal, sorting names.   Miss Heather and R.F. just came up with a new great way to work on his calculator task and he mastered the first benchmark.  M.M. is really making some great progress with his IPod Touch.  He always knows when how to communicate his wants and needs.  He has been working with Miss Dawn on some new vocabulary.  M.M. has really been working hard at the vocational sites, stocking candy, being a houseman, and being a ZooTeen.  C.S .enjoyed the Garden we have a school. He spent many hours planting, watering, weeding and harvesting.  I.S. has been learning grocery sight words and he has already learned 6.  In math, he has almost mastered the 1 up method.  He does vocational work with Miss Lisa as well and his favorite activity is Shredding.  He will also vacuum when if the opportunity arises. The guys in the Gold Room are always working hard and amazing us each day.

A BIG thank you goes to the parents who have donated many items to our classroom.  We have a good supply of materials for your child and I expect that we will be able to deal with any situation that arises.   We are looking forward to our field trips to the Pumpkin Patch and Bowling at Toledo Sport Center in the very near future.
