From the Quarterly Newsletter (Winter 2011)
Silver room is off to a great start this year! We are excited to welcome our new staff member Mrs. Becky! Silver room students have been having a blast working with Red room students during afternoon group time! All the students come together to read stories, make crafts, and participate in fun activities created my Mrs. Tara and Mrs. Elena. In the Silver room, M.S. has been doing an outstanding job with his participation and cooperation. He is also doing a great job with his transitioning skills! Mrs. Lena is so very proud of him! L.V. is such an asset to the classroom! He is putting so much effort into his independent work, and striving for excellence! L.V. is doing an awesome job using his manners and asking for help when he needs it! He is also doing a great job in all of his academic centers! C.K is doing a fantastic job building on her independent skills! She is doing great learning her phone number and adding to her sign language vocabulary! C.K. is also learning household item locations and really doing an outstanding job! K.S is doing outstanding work in the classroom! He is mastering so many of his academic tasks and moving on to more complex tasks! He is doing a great job following directions and is a joy to have in our classroom! M.P is working on adding double digit numbers together and mastering them will great speed! He is vocalizing so many sounds and words lately! We love hearing him in the classroom! B.K is always so full of energy in the classroom! He is working on his participation and cooperation skills and doing a great job! Mrs. Elena is very proud of all of her students and is excited to watch her students to continue to learn and grow as the school year continues!
