From the October Quarterly Newsletter

By Connie Galloway

Students in the yellow room continue to use the new Unique Learning System and NEWS-to-You  Newspaper Resources.  During the month of September students learned about U.S. government and in October our class will be studying the Life Sciences (Plants and Animals).  A  BIG THANK YOU to all the parents who provided materials for several new vocational activities in the classroom!!  Students are learning to sort canned/boxed goods by type (fruit, vegetables, rice or bean, meat, or boxed/canned meal) and then sort into care packages.  Other vocational activities include sorting ValPac coupons by type and sorting/packaging gourds.  Our class is sad to see Patricia go (She’s going back to school!), but we welcome Lindsey and Danielle.

Every Child Is A Gift

Looking for a adoptive home for this wonderful child.

MarquisWTOL
"Nine-year-old Marquis loves to eat strawberries and macaroni and cheese. She loves to color in coloring books, and her favorite crayon is the pink one. In her free time, she enjoys jumping rope, dancing and playing ball. Marquis will need an adoptive family that can support her special needs and help her achieve her potential."
